Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid
5W-30 (MTF)

New AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) 5W-30 meets and exceeds the gear, bearing, synchromesh and seal demands found in automobiles and light trucks.

AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) is specifically designed for manual transmissions and transaxles with synchromesh systems that require light viscosity, non-extreme pressure fortified oil. It is formulated with advanced additive technology to provide proper friction characteristics for smooth shifting without grinding or bump shifting, while providing the ultimate in gear and bearing protection. MTF provides far better protection in these manual transmissions than motor oils and outperforms AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil (HDD) in transmission applications.

Superior Hot and Cold Temperature Performance
AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) outperforms conventional oils and protects internal components at extreme temperatures from -40°F to 300°F. It controls the thinning effects of mechanical shear for stable viscosity and superior film strength, providing better anti-wear performance than conventional oils.

Customized Additives
AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) contains friction modifiers for superior synchronizer compatibility and smooth shifting. It is non-corrosive to yellow metals, and its outstanding anti-wear properties protect gears and bearings under severe duty. MTF is anti-foam fortified and contains oxidation inhibitors to resist high temperatures, oxidation, acid buildup and varnish deposits.

Applications
AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) is recommended for automotive and light truck applications that require synchromesh transmission fluid. Applications include manual transmissions and transaxles such as New Venture NV T350, NV 1500, NV 3500, NV 3550, NV 5600 and Tremec T-4, T-5, T-18, T-176, T-500 and T-600. Replaces Honda Genuine MTX Fluid for manual transaxles. MTF is an SAE 5W-30, however, it is not for use in engines or wet clutches.

AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) replaces GM part # 1234349, 12345577, 12377916 and 1052931 as well as Chrysler part # 4874464 and 4874465. It meets GM specifications 9985648, 9986105 and 9985535 and Chrysler MS-9224 and MS-9417.

Synthetic Manual Transmission and
Transaxle Gear Lube 75W-90 API GL-4

New AMSOIL Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube (MTG) meets and exceeds the gear, bearing, synchromesh and seal demands found in automobiles and light trucks.

AMSOIL Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube (MTG) is designed to meet the special requirements of certain manual transmissions and transaxles, such as the New Venture NV4500. It is designed to replace AMSOIL 80W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube (AGT) and provide improved internal component protection. These transmissions are cast iron and have exhaust pipes close to them, causing them to run hot. Increased operating temperatures can harden seals and cause oil leaks. In addition to lubricating gears, bearings and synchromesh systems, transmission oil must keep seals soft even when temperatures increase. The premium synthetic formulation of AMSOIL Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube is designed to specifically address the needs of these hot running transmissions.

MTG is formulated with extreme pressure (EP) additives and advanced synchromesh qualities that provide smooth shifts while protecting gears, bearings and seals. It is not corrosive to yellow metals, such as copper, that are used in some synchromesh systems. MTG provides the maximum transmission and transaxle internal component protection.

Applications
MTG is recommended for synchronized manual transmissions and transaxles that require 75W-85, 75W-90 or 80W-90 API GL-4 gear lube. Recommended for use in NV 4500 transmissions and replaces GM part # 12346190 and Chrysler part # 4874459 (Chrysler specification MS-9070). MTG meets GL-4 performance specifications required by some models of Acura, Hyundai, Infiniti, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Mazda, Mitsubishi-Fuso and Zetor. Ideal for muscle car transmissions, including Muncie, Borg Warner, Saginaw, Ford Toploader, Dearborn and New Process.

AMSOIL Severe Gear Synthetic Extreme Pressure (EP) Lubricants are premium grade lubricants specifically engineered for maximum performance in severe duty applications. These state-of-the-art AMSOIL formulations feature an exclusive blend of high viscosity, shear stable synthetic base oils and an extra treatment of high-performance additives. AMSOIL Severe Gear Synthetic EP Lubricants maintain their viscosity for long-lasting protection against metal-to-metal contact. The proprietary AMSOIL additives form an iron-sulfide barrier coating on gear surfaces, providing the ultimate line of defense against wear, pitting and scoring. AMSOIL Severe Gear lubricants prevent "thermal runaway" - a phenomenon caused by a lubricant's inability to control friction and increased heat under high-stress conditions. By preventing thermal runaway, AMSOIL Severe Gear Synthetic EP Lubricants inhibit rapid lubricant degradation and component damage. Equipment runs better and lasts longer with AMSOIL Severe Gear Synthetic EP Lubricants.

Use in differentials, manual transmissions or other gear applications where one or more of the following standards are specified: API GL-5 & MT-1, MIL-PRF-2105E, Dana SHAES 234 (Formerly Eaton PS-037) for 250,000 miles, Mack GO-J, Arvin/Meritor 0-76N, plus hypoid gear oil specifications from all foreign and domestic manufacturers such as GM, Ford and Daimler Chrysler.
